As new GPUs like the RTX 3080 Ti spit up incredibly high frame rates, gaming monitors have stepped up their game. 240Hz game monitors are becoming the favorite screens for competitive gamers who value speed above anything else. FPS players especially prefer refresh rate monitors, as it is very valuable to have a clear view of the high speed movement in games like Apex Legends or Valorant.
240Hz is not the maximum that can be achieved. 360Hz is the new novelty, but these screens are very expensive and the jury still doesn’t know if it’s worth it. If you’re on the high upgrade road, 240Hz is a good place to start; make sure you have a GPU (minimum RTX 2070 Super) that can match it.
The number of these high-frequency refresh screens on sale makes it a great time to pick one up, even though the ones on sale are in the smallest part at 24.6 We saw some larger panels for sale, such as the Samsung Odyssey G7 for less than $ 600, which is 27 "and runs at a native speed of 1440 p. There are other high-frequency refreshment monitors with resolutions above 1080 p; we're just not seeing as many that receive massive reductions in prices as their smaller counterparts.
These are the best deals we've found on 240Hz screens, starting at $ 250:
Alienware 25 AW2521HF | 24.5 inches | 240Hz | 1080p |
$ 509 $ 269.99 to Dell
One of our favorite things about the Alienware 25, aside from the high refresh rate, is its IPS panel, which provides a better color gamut than other 240Hz displays that use VA panels. It is also good that this monitor has six USB ports. See offer
Acer Nitro XZ270 | 27 inches | 240Hz | 1080p |
$ 329.99 $ 249.99 on Amazon (save $ 80)
The Acer Nitro is a 27-inch screen like the Samsung Odyssey G7, although it's 1080p and half the price. Not bad if what you are looking for is an economical speed. The VA panel has a response time of 1 ms, as well as FreeSync support.See offer
Acer Predator XB253Q | 24.5 inches | 240Hz | 1080p |
$ 379.99 $ 299.99 on Amazon
Another awesome gaming monitor loaded to the gills with features. Samsung Odyssey G7 | 32 inches | 240Hz | 1440p |
$ 799.99 $ 559.99 on Amazon (save $ 240)
If you want speed for a competitive game, this is a good monitor for you. If you want HDR, QLED, G-Sync, FreeSync or a 1440p resolution, it is also a good game monitor. It’s actually a bit outlandish how much this monitor packs under the hood.See offer
