One More Level's dystopian parkour will get a sequel, the 505 Games publisher announced earlier this week.
A kind of Mirror’s Edge with swords and dismemberments, Ghostrunner lets you go in a neon city full of thugs and killers and takeaway walls, framed by a completely useful cyberpunk story. Once he kills you, you will use your free running skills to dodge bullets and close the distance with your targets. It’s brutal, at best.
“Ghostrunner wants to make you feel like a cybernetically enhanced badass, and he gets it almost all the time with great style,” Luke Kemp told our Critique of Ghostrunner. "It's tough, fair and fun."
505 had already been mocked a year of extra Ghostrunner content, including cosmetic DLC, new game modes and a photo mode to capture your brightest calls. The game has already been fitted with an extra hard hardcore mode for people who somehow found the base game a little too forgiving.
But it’s good to know that we’ll get some new cities shattered and destroyed, even though we don’t know much more now. Ghostrunner 2 has been confirmed for PC and next-generation consoles, and while 505 isn't ready enough to say when, we wouldn't expect it until next year.
