During today's Xbox showcase, Microsoft Flight Simulator announced its first competitive mode: multiplayer racing. The game is partnering with the renowned Reno Air Racing Association to present the STIHL National Air Racing Championship, which calls itself "the world's fastest motorsport". That’s right: planes reach speeds in excess of 500 mph, something cars, for example, aren’t known to do.
Players will be able to compete against friends and other drivers worldwide when the expansion is released this fall. It should be noted that all Microsoft Flight Simulator extensions emphasize when they are free, and that is not the case, so it may not be.
