Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was one of the great multiplayer features of its time, offering what at the time was exclusively goal-based class-based. It came from the success of the single player Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but it was only multiplayer, at least at the time. It had a campaign for an unfinished player during development, long considered lost, but with the recent rebirth of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory by the moderns, a man, William Faure, returns that dream.
This follows in the footsteps of a major mod project, called RealRTCW, which remade Return to Castle Wolfenstein itself.
Faure takes the six maps of the Enemy Territory and turns them into both player and cooperation experiences. He is also no stranger to game modification, because he is the person behind a broad RealRTCW mod. The Dark Army: Uprising, an unofficial sequel to the history of RTCW. Considering the trailer above, which shows not only a gameplay portion of several maps, but a broader view of the D-Day level gameplay, it will come in handy.
You can read more about it at this Steam release from the RealRTCW team. You can track the progress of the modification your moddb page. Wolfenstein Enemy Territory Singleplayer will be released on November 19, 2021 and will hit Steam on November 30, 2021.
