Vitalina Batsarashkina has two powerful passions in life: firing air pistols and The Witcher. And, as she demonstrated at the Tokyo Olympics over the weekend, she’s very good at both: she wore a Witcher medallion while competing in the event, and won a gold medal.

He does not appear to have worn the medallion during the medal ceremony (at least not in a visible way), but that is understandable. Knowing the Olympics, there is probably a rule against it.
It’s not the first time Batsarashkina has competed with Geralt’s famous bling. As reported Kotaku, wore a Witcher medallion and Witcher-themed shooting glasses at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, where he won silver. An image of that competition also turned on Twitter today, initially because of Batsarashkina's super-cold stance, at least until someone noticed the medallion hanging from his pants.

And his hobby isn’t strictly a thing on the ground either. Check out the t-shirt in this epic tweet. (By the way, I want one of these shirts.)
Naturally, his taste for filming material caught the attention (and got the approval) of The Witcher CD Projekt Red studio:

As for Batsarashkina’s seemingly informal stance, which may seem out of place at this level of top-notch international competition, there’s a good reason: according to Twitter user @joedobner, it’s all about composure and control. “When you shoot with as much precision as this, your heartbeat makes out your aim,” they state. explained. "So they stay as relaxed as possible and maintain a firm posture."
A quote from former Indian competitive shooter Suma Shirur al Olympics.com the website says the same thing: "If I have to control movement, keep my body firmly in place for a long period of time, I need a lot of muscular endurance. That needs a lot of strength. To do that, you need to be in good shape." .
Good equipment will probably also help.
Update: As a pair of pointed-eyed readers have pointed out, this is not really a wolf school medallion wearing Batsarashkina, as I originally thought: it’s the Cat School, the medallion worn by Ciri. Unless my eyes have gone badly wrong, the medallion I wore in 2016 is definitely the Wolf School.
