Several months after Crytek remastered the first Crysis game, the studio announced it Crysis 2 and 3 should also follow the same after this year.
Both remastered sequels will be available for purchase separately or will be included with the original Crysis Remastered as part of an all-in-one package. The first remaster arrived on the PC in September, with a good ray layout and a "You can run Crysis" song mode, although thankfully the usual graphic setup didn't blend as much as the original game. The remaster strangely missed some things present in its first iteration, although later things like tilt and a quick release key for grenades were added.
A remastered Crysis 2 was provoked – and then basically confirmed – on Crysis's Twitter account earlier this month, simply by tweeting about the line "I used to be called a Prophet". It was then followed by some very remastered-looking screenshots, which essentially turned the mockery into a complete ad.
Crytek has kept quite a budget on a remastering of Crysis 3, so it’s nice to see the entire trilogy remastered. Evan scored both Crysis 2 and 3 when he reviewed them a long time ago-Crysis 2 got a great 89, while Crysis 3 got a slightly lower 81, but still respectable.
Both remakes of Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 are set to be released on PC sometime in the "fall of 2021." Given the exclusivity of Crysis Remastered's Epic Games Store, it seems likely that we'll see Crysis 2 and 3 Remastered there as well.
