Turtle Rock Studios has released a new Back 4 Blood trailer that highlights the PC version of the game and all I have to say is: finally, this game has a trailer that makes it look amazing. This shows various scenarios and bosses, all of which made me panic in anticipation of the zombie killing, and in addition to a banger of a tune, it emphasizes what it will look like on your platform.
The game will launch with support for 4K resolution, uncapped frame rate, NVIDIA DLSS, ultrawide and multi-monitor compatibility, cross-gaming and a host of other graphics and visual quality options. You can check it out in open beta from August 12-16, which you can do register here (There is also an early access period from August 5 to 9, but only for those who have made a prior reservation).
Back 4 Blood is, as we know, basically Left 4 Dead 3, made by many of the creators of this series and that shows it. By now we’ve all played a million cooperative wave FPS, but while it feels a little crunchy today, Left 4 Dead is still the absolute father: not just for the action itself, but by the atmosphere, the pace, the mix of enemy types, everything. What I’m saying is that the “cooperative zombie shooter” sounds generic and innocuous, but if the past form is something that happens, this will be the opposite (and also has PvP).
Back 4 Blood will be available in the Microsoft, Steam and Epic Games Store on October 12th. PC gamers will be able to play with PlayStation and Xbox owners from the launch, which is nice to watch and hopefully becomes a standard for these types of games. .
