The revelation of the Battlefield 2042 game trailer during the Xbox and Bethesda showcase at E3 this year seems to have gone well, if the increase in the number of Battlefield 4 players is something that needs to happen. Excited gamers have been flocking to the latest game in the series' "near future" (Battlefield 4 is set in a fictional 2020, as imagined in 2013 when it was released) in so many numbers that EA has had to increase the server's ability to cope with the influx.
“We were absolutely impressed with your excitement and reactions to the recent revelation of Battlefield 2042,” an EA community manager wrote. "Since then, many of you have jumped back into Battlefield 4 to try your way back to total warfare. We've been monitoring your experience and noticed that queuing times in the western United States were much longer than in other regions. Good news, we've increased server capacity for this region; you can expect fewer waits and more games. "
