After nine months of exclusive Epic Store, developer Young Horses has announced Bugsnax arrives on Steam.
The cute and creepy collector of creatures was a pleasant surprise when it was launched last year. Honestly, I hadn’t expected too much from the game, but I was thrilled to find adorable food-themed creatures, an engaging game, and a mysterious story that left me wanting more. He also has one fantastic musical theme of Kero Kero Bonito. A lot of people seemed to share my feeling, even if our own Tyler wasn’t so impressed when he checked out the game in his Bugsnax review.
It will not be released on Steam until 2022, presumably, as the Epic exclusivity usually lasts about a year. Creative director Kevin Zuhn also sparked "some meaty news and some juicy surprises to get people talking about Bugsnax again later this year," which makes me hope for some kind of DLC or even a sequel to build the world. Zuhn he told Kotaku in January, while Young Horses "figured out what exactly we want to do after the launch," the team "definitely hasn't finished working with Bugsnax yet."
You may want the game and Steam Right Now.
