A series of hidden scores in Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War has been extended to the rest of multiplayer as part of today's mid-season update.
Already in the third season, Treyarch added a secret streak of nuclear detonation to the Cold War. For a long time, the basics of Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare games, getting 30 kills without dying, would allow you to hit a nuclear button to kill everyone in the game immediately.
Unlike Modern Warfare, Cold War nuclear weapons did not immediately end a round, but killed everyone who was alive in a match. Also, upon arrival, these nuclear weapons were only available in the Cranked Hardpoint rounds. But with Season 4 Reloaded, Treyarch has decided to extend his nuclear genocide to the rest of multiplayer.
“We’ve heard from players who made an extra effort at Cranked Hardpoint to win the hidden Nuke Scorestreak and take it to the rest of multiplayer,” Treyarch wrote in a post update. "Starting this week, players will be able to call a Nuke by winning 30 undead in all modes, with the exception of the League Play and CDL, Multi-Team, Party Games and Gunfight variants."
Season 4 Reloaded also includes a new zombie map, as detailed last week. But Warzone gets it too sweets in mid-season, including a new 20v20 "Payload" mode: one team tries to hear a convoy of vehicles on the map while the others place barriers and defenses in their path.
