There are still a few months to go before The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes, but the name of what is presumably the next in the Supermassive Games horror series has been given by a trademark file (as seen by @RobotBrush on Twitter). It’s called The Devil in Me, so it’s probably demonic possession or Suzi Quatro. It could go either way.
The trademark, filed June 28, is for a logo with compass, magnifying glass and skull, suggesting a game involving exploration, investigation and death. It doesn’t really reduce it, does it?
Dark Pictures ’latest game, Little Hope, came out in October 2020 and House of Ashes will be released in October this year. Although Supermassive initially intended to release two Dark Pictures games a year, it looks like they have switched to an annual schedule. We'll probably see a trailer for The Devil in Me at the end of House of Ashes, as with previous games.
Fraser saw one a hands-on demonstration of House of Ashes in May, and said his cast of CIA soldiers and agents in an underground Sumerian temple made it difficult to know who to root for. "I'm pretty tired of playing American soldiers," he said, "but the environment opens the door to some interesting scenarios and puzzles. You have pragmatic agents and gung-cowboys forced to work together with your enemy." where they will have to put aside jingoism and racism to survive. Or maybe they don't and everything goes to shit. Dark, claustrophobic tunnels will not be the only sources of tension. "
