Several of the best gaming keyboards with mechanical key switches exceed $ 100, and some even go up to $ 200. Then there’s this Vic Tech FL deck with blue switches. With a normal price of $ 29.99 in an economic territory, it can be obtained right now for only $ 13.13.
This is not free, but it is as close as possible while paying something …anything—For a new mechanical keyboard.
The low price is thanks to a couple of discounts on the product page. One is an extra $ 9 savings coupon (just click the checkbox) and the other is a 30% off coupon code (XXUPZG77). Is good? I haven’t used this keyboard, so it’s a dice roll. Normally, I would turn to user reviews in this situation to see if there are common complaints among the group, but in this case, it’s a new product with only two impressions (and a 4.5/5 star rating).
At this price, I would be willing to pick up a brochure, if it were on the market for an ultra-affordable mechanical keyboard. It uses blue touch and click switches (according to one of the user reviews, they are Outemu Blues), so expect it to look noisy (blues are my favorite type of switch). They won't feel identical to the more expensive Cherry MX style, but of the "clones" they are potentially the closest to the classic switch.
Other features include double-shot keys, a brushed metal frame, spill and dust resistance (there are drainage holes at the bottom), a compact keyless design (TKL) (i.e. no keyboard dedicated number) and six rainbow-colored backlight zones.
