Really, if you think about it, that was inevitable. Rick and Morty, the popular Adult Swimming program about a drunken mad scientist, his grandson, and his increasingly bizarre and grotesque adventures through space and alternate dimensions, gets a crossover from Fortnite.
Fortnite’s official Twitter has posted new teasers on Tuesday before the season 7 debut, and it looks like an old friend of Rick’s will play some kind of role.

Yes, this is the butter robot of the first season, new episode: "Something Ricked This Way Comes."

Rick creates the half-breakfast robot for the sole purpose of passing the butter, which the little boy clearly struggles to cope with once he realizes how banal his life will be. Classic humor from Rick and Morty, until the first season.
Anyway, Fortnite’s tweet that the butter-bot was unable to carry anything but butter, including weapons and documents. The butter robot doesn’t actually have a character arc beyond one or two brief scenes, but it could fit into the general theme of season 7 of alien and UFO kidnappings, which is inserted directly into the universes. of Rick and Morty. Epic also works an ARG of some kind which plays with the subject of alien research.
It could also play a role in crafts. Fortnite players have been using hunted animal bones to create more damaged primary weapons. Primary and improvised weapons will disappear by the end of Season 6, but could be replaced by a new type of weapon or an updated craft system.
Does that mean we’ll see Rick and Morty skins or other cosmetics? It’s hard to say right now, but it seems likely as such collaborations rarely end up with a meager entry. Although one wonders how the wizards of Epic will translate a very different style of art to Unreal Engine, as they have done for different properties before them.
