Forza Horizon 5 will come on November 9 and will head to Mexico this time. Just announced on Microsoft's Xbox & Bethesda Showcase, Forza Horizon 5 has a sharp look in its first trailer, where we see a new technology of ray tracing and photogrammetry in action. It is arguably the best Forza has ever seen, with huge dust storms, lush vegetation and volcanic scenes.
The campaign comes with a group of fun drivers exploring Mexico and looking for places to expand the festival. Horizon 5 will also feature new luxury weather events, such as tropical storms or the big dust storm shown in the trailer.
A detail that will only excite fools like me: Sky boxes are legitimate 12k 24-hour ties of real Mexican skies captured with a luxury HDR camera. Combined with the new lighting technology for ray tracking and highly detailed photogrammetric textures, Forza has a real look. Like, real well.
There’s a bit in the game show below (around 4:50), where they run down a shallow stream, and you can see the sky and landscape perfectly reflected in the water as the cars distort it, doing it like them. Great fan.
As with all Microsoft games, it will be the first day on Xbox Game Pass.
