The latest patch notes for season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone have been released, signaling the addition of a new time-limited event called Ground Fall, Verdansk's Mini Resurgence mode. , the new "Red Gates" of Verdansk (rumored to be a new fast travel system), eight new LGBTQIA + Pride flag calling cards and a dirt bike.
What’s more interesting, though, is that all of this Raven Software explains what a patch is yet to come: "In a future patch, we'll make balance changes to the weapons." As the notes explain, "Because some weapons are much more lethal than others in their class, we believe a reduction in the effectiveness of these atypical values is needed. We hope that these changes take about the average time to kill about 60 to 100 milliseconds. "
Given that Warzone has a relatively low TTK compared to other Battle Royale games like Apex Legends, if the average reached the expected maximum amount of 100 milliseconds, it would make a noticeable difference.
Raven plans to "start laying the groundwork for the next balance review" with adjustments to 15 weapons, slightly reducing the CR-56 AMAX and the Streetsweeper shotgun more significantly, dropping its maximum range. of damage by 24%, decreasing the second range of damage by 18%, and decreasing the third range of damage by 7%, as well as decreasing the speed of movement by 1%.
In the short term, the Streetsweeper has one of the best K / D ratios in the war zone, and even with these changes it will remain deadly in the nearest ranks, forcing players to use it a little more situationally.
Even the ballistic knife can be modified: "With additional mobility, improved projectile speed and more generous location multipliers: letting someone handling the ballistic knife get too close is a mistake you will only make once … or two per game ".
