The infernal landscape of horror and pixelated body, Death Trash, begins its sad journey Early Steam access on August 5th.
Largely the work of sole developer Stephan Hövelbrinks, Death Trash offers insights into its disgusting world for some time. Tonight, the developer has given us a more complete look at a new trailer during the PC Gaming Show – one that begins, appropriately, with our main character vomiting (and recovering from that vomit).
This is not a game for the rough.
Death Trash is an open role-playing game in a world where humanity is at war with vast machine intelligences, cosmic horrors and (predictably). The dialogue takes place in real time, allowing you to get away from a boring conversation or get rid of anything that particularly affects you. The trailer gives us a little more of a look at the Death Trash fight: a slow, tense, brutal mix of heavy melee weapons and gun games.
The August release will open the first chapter of the game to try it out, with a Fallout-style world map to jump between locations. Hövelbrinks hopes to keep the game in early access for about a year, regularly opening up new parts of the world and history.
