A new trailer for Black Myth: Wukong has the next mythical action festival looking pretty good, as it announces the change to Unreal Engine 5. Shared by Nvidia on Youtube, the 12-minute cinematic and gameplay part shows clear influences from other modern action role-playing games, but it definitely has things of its own. Wukong looks great not only for dodging, but for using skills that recover and stun enemies, including some that look like bosses.
Black Myth: Wukong was unveiled last year with quite a bit of interest among action RPG fans.
The snowy trailer landscape is certainly an impressive use of engine and hardware technology, especially when a fight on an icy lake makes a few turns / Later on in the trailer, the swirling leaves and lightning effects in the caverns also have a pretty good look.
Inspired by the Sekiro and Souls series, Black Myth: Wukong takes as its setting the well-known Chinese myth of the Journey to the West. Creatures, people, and landscapes are unknown and even sometimes strange. Like the bird monster with a strange giant human head. I put it at the top of the article.
Black Myth: Wukong will be launched in 2023. It is developed by the Chinese studio Game Science.
