Who is ready to boot? What is this? Everyone?
Jupiter Hell finally has a release date, which was chainsaw to come out of Early Access on August 5, 2021. This is the spiritual successor to the original Doom, the usual Roguelike project, which turned the old shooter into a program turn-based. Tactical game, later called DoomRL and then DRL after some legal threats, you know, from Zenimax.
Jupiter Hell is basically a turn-based action shooter, where speeds, explosions and big weapons are used to kill many demons as a single very angry space sea. Everything is styled like an old CRT monitor and turned into a thunderous heavy metal soundtrack.
Developer ChaosForge has had this on EA for the past two years, and we liked the EA version and now I like cutting its flake. "Like chess … with shotguns!" says the description of the game. Which is probably not true except in spirit.
But that is a spirit I can accept.
Anyway, at least I didn't go down without explaining myself first. We don’t usually post covers around here, but it’s great, so I post it.
See? It is great.
