The awesome Sim Settlements 2 mod for Fallout 4 has announced that its new update, Gunner Outbreak, will arrive this fall. At the top is a trailer featuring the characters and locations that define the expansion of the Sim Settlements story chapter update.
The core of Sim Settlements is the new mechanic for building and expanding the communities that can be found around the ruins of post-nuclear Boston. The new patch adds disease, a global restocking system, and a game mode that will allow you to set up your own faction headquarters.
In addition to this mechanic, there are voice-over characters with their own stories, and a main story that weaves around and alongside the main story of Fallout 4.
"The ultimate goal is to make the Fallout 4 vanilla and Sim Settlements 2 missions feel right at home," says the game's page, "and do it in a way without editing any of vanilla missions so that we can stay as compatible as possible with as many modifications as possible. "
Consider the Sim 2 settlements the perfect way to start a new Fallout 4 game, especially if you haven't played it since version. The modification adds a reinvented system for establishing barren terrain, which the creator calls a "reimagining of what Fallout 4 would look like if it had a main plot where the settlements have a purpose and importance to the characters involved."
The original Sim Settlements were our Mod of the Year 2017. You can find Sim Settlements 2 on their website, simsettlements2.com.
