The leaked images accessed by datamining the latest update of Cold War's Call of Duty: Black Ops have given us our first real look at Call of Duty: Vanguard 2021, the game developed by Sledgehammer Games which only leaked his name earlier this year. The new images support the rumor that Vanguard will take place during or near World War II.
The images are labeled with three different editions of Vanguard: a standard edition, a final edition, and a Cross-Gen package. The images were leaked to Twitter late last night and Activision has actively removed these images via DMCA requests. An image has also been leaked to show characters, operator skins and weapons for Warzone.

The filtered images show a squadron of four soldiers, all irregularly equipped, fighting in an environment with palm trees. There are a lot of explosions in the background. The most prominent soldier has what looks like a British Lee Enfield rifle. On the right, a soldier in what appears to be a Soviet uniform holds what is almost certainly a Soviet Mosin M1891 / 30 rifle with a range.
In the background of an image are two more soldiers, both equipped. His weapons are unclear, but he appears to be wearing a uniform and bags reminiscent of an Australian soldier from New Zealand or the British Commonwealth. The other wears what could be a black or brown leather jacket.
According to the filtered menu image, these soldiers could be Polina, the sniper, Lucas, maybe the New Zealander, and Wade, probably the guy wearing a leather jacket. They are shown with a mix of modern and World War II weapons. There’s also a really creepy-looking skin to what the Soviet PPSH machine gun looks like, but it has a red dot.
We will make sure to have more Call of Duty: Vanguard leaks in the coming days.
