Itch. Io's palestinian aid package includes hundreds of games for $ 5

Independent digital store Itch.io has launched a new support package Palestinian aid which includes over 1,000 games, soundtracks, books and more for a minimum price of $ 5. All funds raised from the sale of the package will go to United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which will provide food support and health services to the people of Gaza.

"Independent games are unique in that they can tell stories that are not seen in AAA or other games. We pour our life experiences into our games and share a piece of ourselves with the world," wrote the organizer of the Alanna Linayre package. "Palestinian game developers are no different in this regard, but they have the added challenges of limited access to basic services such as clean water, electricity, health care and food security. They live under Israeli authority. which discriminates and subjugates Palestinians to the point of persecution and apartheid, simply because they are Palestinians. In addition, they develop games without all the resources involved in being in a Western center for game development.
