Well, here’s a very different kind of Lego game. There are no Star Wars characters or maneuvers in Lego Builder & # 39; s Journey, which was shown on Saturday's Wholesome Games Direct. Check out the trailer above to see what I mean.
Sounds … really nice, right? I may be a sucker for soft, bright lighting, but here I explore the aesthetics of the common Lego bricks that are so lovingly represented. Guess what: it has ray tracing. No wonder it looks so fantastic.
According to the Steam page, Lego Builder & # 39; s Journey is "a geometric and atmospheric puzzle game that asks us to sometimes follow instructions … and sometimes break the rules." Basically, each stage is a teenage Lego diorama and you have the task of leaving some pieces of brick in the right place to make them from side to side.
Lego Builder & # 39; s Journey was launched for mobile in 2020, but arrived on PC and Nintendo Switch on June 22nd. It was well received last year, in fact, it won the Mobile Game of the Year in the Golden Joysticks. It seems like the kind of puzzle game that calms the brain instead of breaking it, which is fine for me.
Another plus: you can’t step on these Lego pieces and print their hellish brick shapes on your foot.
