Remember when everyone said the Xbox Series X looked like a fridge? Apparently, so does Microsoft. To prove that, a trillion-dollar company, is totally fine with the comparison, it plans to launch the Xbox Mini Fridge.
According to the video for the "world premiere" announcement, "Yes, it's really happening," and the mini fridge will arrive during this year's holiday season.
We don’t have all the details in the fridge, but you know, it’s a fridge. You can make some polite conjectures. From the look of it, I guess it may contain ten cans, but I also know absolutely nothing about refrigerators. Microsoft jokingly claims to come up with “Velocity Cooling Architecture,” a pun on Xbox Velocity Architecture on its latest console.
It looks like the fans have won. User Dacvak on Reddit says "That's so silly. I can't wait to buy one," while another, xsabinx, says "it looks great. I hope availability isn't an issue."
This isn't the first time Microsoft has worked with memes and it shows that it's totally 100% good with fridge comparisons, "like, really, it's totally fine." This time, last year, Microsoft announced that it would give away a full-size Xbox Series X refrigerator, including retail packaging.
The full-size model was only available for a few lucky winners, while the Xbox Mini fridge will apparently have a full version. However, if this is to be launched outside the United States, we will have to wait and see.
If you can’t get your hands on it, why not just give an Xbox logo to any old black fridge? Voila, an Xbox fridge.
