We have all been there. You dive into the summer rays with your pet kitten and suddenly a robot storm comes down from space to wreak havoc. So goes Planet of Lana, an "out-of-this-world odyssey" about exploring and protecting a pristine paradise.
Planet of Lana seems to be a platform game in the vein of Inside or Limbo (and not just for that giant spider), albeit a little less existentially horrible. Instead, explore a natural, vibrant world with your sooty black cat monkey companion, solving puzzles and avoiding both organic and non-organic monsters.
However, it’s bloody, right? There’s a bit of a Ghibli style to the look of the clouds and the trees as if they were wrapped in a brush, the grass swaying under impossibly blue skies. The game’s store page also evokes a story beyond its footprint in the woods, with an intergalactic thread spanning centuries.
The planet of the Wool arrives Steam in 2022.
