A handful of new Naraka: Bladepoint characters have apparently been revealed, pointing out possible new fighting styles that you can use in the actual melee battle that swings with swords. File users Naraka: subredit of Bladepoint published several images from the game’s official digital art book, which only came with the final edition, giving a glimpse of conceptual art showing characters we haven’t seen in the game yet.
See the gallery below.
The first is a samurai boy, who is pretty much the same in terms of Naraka's oriental influences. The following is a young Taoist warrior. It is brandishing what appears to be a thin wooden instrument. The third is what looks like an imperial guard or a knight. Some Reddit users note that it may be inspired by the JinYiWei, the imperial police who served the emperors of the Ming dynasty.
Fourth, we have a curvy-haired woman with a patch and a more traditional-looking samurai sword. Here are probably some classic wuxia influences. Fifth, we have a woman who seems ready for a funeral. I imagine it’s yours, considering your sword is on fire.
At the moment, there is no official word on when (if ever) these characters will arrive in Naraka: Bladepoint. It is quite possible that these characters are simply artistic references for the construction of the universe.
