Ubisoft's remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was supposed to be released six months ago, but after several delays it has now been withdrawn: this time until 2022. Not only that, but you haven't expect to see the game in the Ubisoft Forward E3 2021 showcase next week.
The officer Twitter account of the Prince of Persia confirmed so much today. "As you may have read, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be on Ubisoft Forward. We're making great progress with our game coming out next year, but we're not ready to share any more information yet. We'll share an update as soon as we're ready. "

Ubisoft delayed the release date from January to March 18th at the end of last year, just four weeks before its scheduled release. In February, its release was scheduled for a "later date" strike. The first delay was attributed to the Covid-19 pandemic, while the last was to "allow our teams to deliver a remake that feels fresh while staying true to the original."
Whatever the truth, and we have no reason to doubt the official word, it is curious to see a relatively low-profile remake subject to such frequent and now long delays. Your absence is likely to affect what is being set up a strong E3 for Ubisoft: wait for information about Rainbow Six: Extraction, Far Cry 6 and more.
