Tom Clancy & # 39; s Rainbow Six: Extraction may be back in 2022. But if you want the Rainbow team to launch some aliens, Rainbow Six Siege will allow you to fight a team of infected operators. until August 24 with this month's Containment event.
Contention adds a new Nest Destruction game mode to Siege, echoing Extraction's mushroom purge missions, which task attackers (chosen from a limited group of Operators) with destroying alien nests in a reworked version of Consulate. These nests will not be left unprotected, mind you, with a team of Protea fungus defenders standing in their way.
While they will not be armed, defenders will be faster, tougher, and will be able to reduce the distance with the ability to smash and tear down walls with their alien arms. Let them get close and these claws will do a short job of your high quality body armor.
As part of Contention, Siege will be briefly free from August 13-15, with battle crossing points doubled this weekend. The event also includes themed cosmetics for 10 operators and a large number of weapons, in case you want to keep up with the hazmat fashion trend long after the event is over.
The restraint may be firmly grounded in the realm of Rainbow Six Siege, but it should give you a clear idea of how you can end up playing extraction. Many of Siege's operators will appear in PvE alien-buster, although there have been a few changes to make their kits work in Extraction slower and more methodical adoption of the creature function of Left 4 Dead.
