A Raven visual effects artist has pledged to reduce the flare effects of the prime target on the new Call of Duty map: Warzone.
The answer comes after players began to complain about the spectacular sunny weather in Verdansk ’84, which caused a pain in the disputes, even a redditor suggested adding sunglasses as loot. Some suggest lens flare problems previous to the new map, but the general feeling is that the third season has increased the problem exponentially. Verdansk is too bright.
Reply to DesertFor his coverage, Raven VFX artist Reed Shingledecker asked if it really was a problem, promising a quick and easy solution, if so.
Is true? Is Verdansk & # 39; s sunlight bothering people? I can easily reduce it if necessary. Http://t.co/us1yL62CgCMay 23, 2021
Shingledecker explained that it can’t radically change the lighting on the map, but that it can make some effects like lens lights, dirt, and reflections a little less oppressive.
"I can only adjust the brightness of the lens flare on the screen," he writes in a follow-up tweet. "That includes the rays that draw on top of buildings and the dirt on the screen. I CAN'T control the nebulae, the rays of God, or the brightness of the real sun."
Shingledecker estimated that he would start making these solutions today, so expect flagrant changes to come soon. Still, I think Raven should add sunglasses as booty, if only for the coolness factor.
