Koch Media’s name may not be as immediately recognizable as EA or Activision, but as the father of Deep Silver, it has the potential to impact this year’s showcase. It hasn't actually caused anything yet, but Koch recently signed a publishing deal with Starbreeze for Payday 3 and Deep Silver recently confirmed that there's a new Timesplitters game, though apparently development is still underway. has not started. I don’t think we’re likely to see much of it.
Optimists can also hold out hope Dead Island 2, which Koch Media CEO Klemens Kundratitz said in 2019, is still something that’s happening, and a new Saints Row, which was deleted a couple of years ago in a financial report. Personally, I’m crossing my fingers (hopefully, but honestly, without expectations) about something new in front of the subway. Developer 4A Games confirmed in November 2020 that it is working on a new game in the series, but will surprise me (very pleasantly, note) if it still has something to show for it.
Koch Media’s E3 live broadcast will begin at 12.00 PT / 15:00 ET on June 11th. The Summer Game Fest online event series will begin on June 10 and will also feature showcases from Ubisoft, Microsoft and Bethesda, Steam and Electronic Arts. For the full descent of the summer events, which will also include E3 and the return of the PC game show, be sure to keep an eye on our E3 2021 schedule.
