The success of the 2016 RPG 2D Salt and Sacrifice gets a sequel, announced by PlayStation Indies boss Shuhei Yoshida during the summer live broadcast of Game Fest Fest as Salt and Sacrifice.
The trailer shows a very elegant side-scrolling action that tells a story about a convicted criminal turned marked inquisitor who hunts magicians in a strange fantasy world. Graphically, it seems more advanced than its predecessor, which, by the way, we have included in our 2019 list of the best soul-like games for PC, but the game seems to be in the same line.
Players will customize the appearance and class of their inquisitor (Highblade, Paladin, Assassin, Cleric, Dualist, Fighter, Ranger or Sage) and crime, and then participate in the Magebane Rite, leaving them in a state of life. and death. From there, they will prepare for excursions to Pardoner & # 39; s Vale, a center of inquisitors, and then launch missions through villages, tombs, temples and swamps, looking for clues and tracking more than 20 types. different from evil magicians.
Salt and Sacrifice will support multiplayer for both single-player and drop-out, as well as for multiplayer factions, including cooperative-focused Dawnlight Order and the death of Shroud Alliance players.
“Seeing the multiplayer aspects of Salt and Sacrifice come to life has been a lot of fun,” said Ska Studios founder James Silva. "There are so many interesting things we can do with the goals of our different factions in this dangerous world devastated by wizards."
The trailer only includes a PS4 and PS5 version, but Ska Studios confirmed after the show that it will also hit PC. It is expected to come out in early 2022. Check out some screens below.
