EA’s Knockout City dodgebrawler will get a new map next week as part of the release of the second season and it looks pretty neat: it takes place in a huge movie studio that spans a bunch of different movie genres and, according to EA, the playing field changes to in real time "during matches. Fingers crossed that neon robot, the Godzilla thing doesn't hit too hard.
The second season is called Fight at the Movies and launches on July 27th. In addition to the map, there is a new ball: the Soda Ball. If you copy this ball to your face, the screen will be temporarily covered with sticky soda, which sounds incredibly annoying, but sometimes annoying things are fun.
Apart from these, you can expect the usual live service: League Play, the classified mode of the game, you will get a new season with new rewards and you can also expect new cosmetics and playlists. There is also a new manned vehicle (a limousine) that you can unlock in crew contracts.
Knockout City was launched in May a good reviews and a healthy player base, thanks to the game’s generous trial period: the game is free until you reach Ranking 25, which should take a while, except for the most dedicated one.
