Season 2 of Witcher will be released on Netflix on December 17, 2021. The date was announced during the live broadcast of WitcherCon and puts the second season two years after the first season, which aired in December 2019. end of the broadcast, Netflix also revealed the first suitable trailer of the season, embedded above.
Like the first season, season 2 of The Witcher will have eight episodes. Netflix has spilled all but one of the episode titles:
- A grain of truth
- Kaer Morhen
- What is lost
- Redanian intelligence
- Turn your back
- Dear friend
- Voleth Meir
- … And one that is "Top Secret"
Netflix suggests that episode titles contain hidden “clues”. Hm.

The new trailer is our first substantial look at the season, but before showing it, Netflix revealed some smaller details.
We learned that one of the monsters of the second season will be the Leshy, and I took a brief look at a bony hand. We also saw the new look of the second season of Jaskier, more "rock and roll":
"It's definitely something," Jaskier actor Joey Batey joked about the photo. "What (bleep). What an idiot. What is he doing?"
Batey also said — jokingly, but perhaps not — that "there could be a small amount of hat during season 2 for about 47 seconds." It refers to the distinctive bard hat, which the producers tested (there is a photo of him carrying it), but eventually did not reach the first season.
Another novelty: we will meet a lot of new characters as the story of Geralt unfolds in the second season (see the full list in our guide to season 2 of The Witcher), but Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the presenter of The Witcher , said during the broadcast that his favorite addition The cast is Kim Bodnia as Vesemir. His favorite scene of the season includes "Vesemir and Ciri in a Kaer Morhen lab," he said, and "it took a day to shoot."
We'll add more details as WitcherCon continues today.
