Earlier this year, Bethesda made a startling announcement: Machine Games, the studio behind the recent Wolfenstein games, would face Indiana Jones in a dazzling new adventure. But even though this news came out of nowhere, it looks like Todd Howard has been playing Indiana Jones for a long time.
You requested an update to the game The Telegraph, Howard just said he was "super excited" by how the game is progressing. And so it should be: he’s only been trying to do it for a decade.
“I think I originally released Lucas in 2009 and I’ve been trying to find a way to do it ever since,” Howard said. "I think the work that Machine Games has done is just developers and storytellers. And when I started talking about them, it was very appropriate. And we had the opportunity to talk to Lucas and Disney about it. and they were super excited.
"I really like Indiana Jones, but I never thought I'd have a chance to make a game. And you'll know more in the future. But the Machine Games team is the best team in the world for get this game out and they are doing a phenomenal job ".
Howard also made a small update on The Elder Scrolls 6, which Bethesda has been almost silent about since its announcement alongside Starfield in 2018. With this year’s E3 he gave us a Howard noted only that TES6 is being built with the same engine.
"The technology [new Starfield], Creation Engine 2, is built for both of us. It's like a new technology base. The vast majority of our development work is in Starfield right now, but everyone is working on everything, so projects intertwine. "
Eagle-eyed fans were convinced that the Starfield trailer said more than Bethesda let go, thinking, believing that a small scratch was a mockery of TES6's location. Whether true or not, the speculation is related to existing rumors that the game will take place in Hammerfell, High Rock or both.
