It’s been almost ten years since the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and to commemorate the big anniversary, Bethesda Softworks will release the Skyrim Anniversary on November 11, the game’s real ten-year anniversary.
The Skyrim Anniversary edition will include the Special Edition version of the game, a remastered version with high-resolution textures, enhanced visual effects, and Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn add-ons, along with more than 500 pieces of Creation Club content: new missions, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells and more. If you haven’t played Skyrim yet and want to jump in, this is definitely the place to do it.
And if you’ve already played it, you won’t be left out, as the Anniversary Edition will also be available as a Special Edition update. A free next-generation update will also be released the same day, though it's still unclear if it'll hit PC (I asked for it) and …this is the big one—Bethesda also adds fishing to the game. Finally, real fishing!
“I’ve always wanted to do it in Skyrim,” CEO Ashley Cheng said. "You no longer have to dive into the water and click blind. Now you can catch a fishing rod, do some fishing missions. It's a great addition to the game, it will be free for everyone and it really will adds to the immersion of the world ".
