Gaming chair manufacturers have been really pushing the boat lately. If the BMW concept wasn’t enough, or the Cooler Master game egg, Vertagear has teamed up with Swarovski to create a luxurious game chair covered in Swarovski crystals.
A glass finish may not be for everyone, but I was expecting something plastered in shiny glass from head to toe, Vertagear PL4500 Swarovski that's not it at all. The chair looks, for the most part, embroidered on the back, with crystals where the lines of purple thread intersect. It’s not that different from the PL4500 standard, actually, though because of the few flowers and the shiny Vertagear logo.
From the small size of our sample in the office, it looks like a moderately polarizing chair. It’s not something I would buy, but I can see why people would, while Senior Hardware Ed. Alan Dexter remains totally unconvinced.
It's a bit of a mixed bag according to ours The 2019 Vertagear PL4500 review as well. Benjamin Abbott writes at the time: "Solid build quality and excellent back support don't distract from a high price and a hard seat that becomes uncomfortable over time."
The Swarovski look will cost you a little more than the standard fare. It’s a $ 600 chair, which exceeds $ 100 more than the usual PL4500. While this also includes a ten year warranty, it comes with the best gaming chairs.
So, is this play chair a fad or something that makes you swing? I like it more, anyway, if only because it would be the perfect fit on the side Trident Z Royal RAM from G.Skill.
