The first Steam Next Fest happened last month and featured more than 700 demos, but Valve isn’t slowing down: another edition of the virtual event kicks off on October 1st and will run for a full week. Once again, live broadcasts from developers and “chats with teams about their ongoing games” will take place amid the furious rush to try out the upcoming games.
Valve has not mentioned how many demos will appear, probably because they are still requesting records. If you are a developer and want your demo to appear, you can more information here.
It's so much fun to see the event coming back so soon. Steam is a huge showcase, so the more opportunities to show new games, the better. Also, the upcoming December release of Steam Deck there will probably be more people excited about the new games that can be run on hand.
Rachel, Malindy and Mollie examined the June Next Fest demonstrations and found at least 16 games they deserve your attention.
