Lawn Mowing Simulator is a game about mowing the lawn. Andy Kelly found a demonstration if it was surprisingly calming and meditative. I have not played it myself, but I have found a window into the souls of those who have it: the Steam Reviews.
It turns out that people have very strong opinions about lawns and the art of mowing them. For each review of widescreen media or game mechanics, there is one similar this making poppartart fly:
"I don't know what to expect from this game, but I have a small lawn maintenance company. The first thing I did was grind to get a scanner to test the mechanics of the strip and it disappointed me. .
Also, nothing that the bait does will sink at full speed and at full speed by cutting 3 or 4 inches of dry grass. I should know, I have one.
And finally, why do we cut grass at 2.5 inches ??? are we about $ 20 in grass? Fresh seasonal grass should be cut to a minimum of 3.5 inches. They look great between 4 and 4.5 ".
In another context it may seem petty to complain about a detail such as an inch of grass height in a game, but if you put "simulator" in the name of your game, you better believe that the claim will be questioned by people that much about the thing being simulated.
"The grass should be harder to cut in the rain," he said Ty5123, which published a list of other complaints. "Why the hell didn't they add a speed control or a speed lock? Almost every mower has one. They're making us play a little hot with speed."
Some reviewers were more concerned about the environment.
"No lawn mowers, no weed eaters, no grass juice coming out of the mower box, no grass sticking to the wheels, no mourning pigeons in the environment, not so much just GET OUT OF THE MOWER … This is literally the least satisfying lawn mowing experience, ”he said. giv_me_hell.
“My five years make me repay that because I can’t get off the mower,” he said benwegraham2015. "There's no grass either? No speed control? You don't understand how not to warm up the engine. It's not recommended right now for kids."
There are also a lot of positive reviews, and Lawnmower Simulator has an overall “Especially Positive” rating on Steam right now.
“It’s so relaxing to just light up your Stiga and create patterns on the lawn of Nook Cottage,” he writes HeadlineStorey. "Or if you've had a particularly bad day at work, just start this lawn with some well-earned donuts!"
"The only thing that can improve this game is if my dad was there. I would be standing on the edge of the grass with my arms crossed," he says. pillow, based on nostalgia to support the game of mowing.
"Finally, I don't have to wait for my grass to grow to mow again. You can also mow these lawns while drinking naked and not be judged by your 'neighbors' or receive the work of the 'police,'" he says. CDROn, who clearly only needs a hundred acres in the country, a tall fence and a lawn mower to achieve joy in this life.
I will leave you with this review of TwistedStixx, a melancholy theme for the desires of the soul: "The only thing I want to add is that you can get your own truck and trailer and drive to the site. Maybe someday …"
Maybe one day.
