Remember Zeno Clash? Launched in 2009, it is a first-person fighter set in the strange world of Zenozoik, where you flee first from the angry brothers after trying to kill your father and finally fight your fist to get things back on track. 'once and for all. all. We have no reviews on the site, but in the July 2009 issue of the magazine (via Metacritic) we gave it an 84% score, calling it "a totally nice contrast to everything you've ever played, backed up by the most intense first-person punches we've seen in a game."
A sequel followed in 2013 that did not live up to the original: "By losing focus, it has lost much of its charm," we said in the 67% review, and after that, developer Ace Team switched to another, too – Strange Things, like The Deadly Tower of Monsters and The Eternal Cylinder. But now back to where it started with Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, a new first-person puncher unveiled during today's Nacon Connect.
It is unclear whether this is a direct sequel to the Zeno Clash games or something similar but separate, but it takes place in the game world itself and clearly comes equipped with the unique visual style of the game. series. An apparent difference is that Artifacts of Chaos will be in the third person instead of the first, which can make your fight more accessible (or at least cinematic), and it is possible that the board game seen in the trailer as well become a game: Ace The team said that players will "explore the unique world of Zenozoik and defeat the best warriors while respecting the strange rules of the Ritual".
It's not a lot to follow, but I'm definitely interested. There is no release date at this time, but the trailer indicates that Clash: Artifacts of Chaos will be available on Steam and Epic Games Store. Enjoy some screens below.
