Pearl Abyss announced today that its upcoming Crimson Desert game will be delayed until an unspecified date.
In a statement shared on Twitter (thank you, Role play), the team explained that they had decided that they needed to "spend more time adding new ideas for an even deeper and more enriching game", and that a delay was needed to "create the best possible experience, while ensuring health and the safety of everyone involved in the delivery of the game ".

It’s good to see a statement about explicit prioritization in workers ’health, but it’s worth being skeptical about these things: games can be delayed i enforce the crisis at the same time.
The open-world action game from the creators of Black Desert Online was originally slated for the winter version of 2021, after debuting at The Game Awards in 2020 with a five-minute trailer.
While the new Crimson Desert release date is not specified, Pearl Abyss said they would offer an updated schedule in the future.
