The crypto-hacker who stole $ 600 million finally returns the rest

Earlier this month, a hacker launched more than $ 600 million in cryptocurrency exploiting a vulnerability in Poly Network, a platform that allows transactions between different blockchains. A few days later, however, the thief returned more than half of the funds, just over $ 342 million. They were effectively forced to make the move after Poly Network released the addresses of their digital wallets, marking the transactions as illegal, the digital equivalent of the packages of dyes wrapped inside cash packages.

The strangest thing, however, is that Poly Network began working with the hacker, who went by the nickname White Hat, and eventually ended up offering him a job as a senior security consultant. He also received a $ 500,000 error reward for discovering the exploitation that led to the theft, although he had not yet returned all of the cryptocurrency he had taken.
