Even for this outdated Destiny 2 player, the idea of taking on a raid boss like Riven of a Thousand Voices while playing solo is a nightmare. Even with the usual routine, facing this encounter with nothing less than a complete team and good luck can be a challenge. Unless you’re the player who’s figured out what’s probably the highest possible DPS in the entire game, which will allow you to kill almost a raid boss.

YouTuber Ehroar posted his findings last Thursday, breaking his trick. Using Destiny 2's Sunbreaker subclass for the Titan, Ehroar equipped the Launch Hammer, which automatically reloads melee after being picked up. He also added the buff attributes Burning Maul, Tireless Warrior and Roaring Flames. Ehroar is very interesting in delving into the issues of Destiny 2. We even made him make guides for eternal grenade spam i final dodging when Beyond Light was released.
A normal hammer throw on the Shayotet Partisan reward target will deal you 21,000 admirable damage. If you remove this with Roaring Flames, your hammer will hit for 47,000 damage, or 2.2x. The One-Two Blast Weapon advantage eliminates damage again after hitting an enemy with each shotgun pellet, leaving the hammer to reach 64,000 damage. The Tractor Cannon shotgun adds another 1.3x buff. The Wormgod Gloves then accumulate up to five buffs for each melee death and, although harder to chain, let the hammer take 160,000 damage.
Combine them all together and you will get a 64.35x buff, getting the hammer a count of 1,380,000 damage.
Okay, so lovers are lovers, but how are you getting that kind of million damage per cast? Well, One-Two Punch allows you to throw two hammers per shotgun, which exceeds 2 million. The Launch Hammer also has a slight delay in which it can jump, and a combination of keys allows you to overcome the normal blow for a loaded melee attack.
As Ehroar explains, walk up to a head with the buffs activated and throw the hammer and, if you are well placed, it will bounce repeatedly between you and the head, causing damage all the time. For Riven, Ehroar simply headed for the giant claw of the head, threw his hammer, and destroyed more than 90% of the health bar in less than two seconds. Check out the gif below to see how the health bar disintegrates.
Ehroar appears to have had moderate success with hammer throws of about 17 million damage to Riven, and even 40 million to Vault of Glass ’Atheon.
This is easily the highest DPS achieved in Destiny 2, but even Ehroar says he doesn't know if any future update will allow anyone to beat it, so we'll just have to see. Speaking of movements dominated in Destiny 2, Bungie has disabled a pair of exotic boots that allow you to dance in front of enemy fire a few times too much.
