Today's Xbox broadcast at Gamescom kicked off with a new look at Dying Light 2: Stay Human, the zombie survival game coming from Techland in December.
The game's trailer shows the origins of the outbreak that toppled the city, before quickly entering a showcase of high-flying parkour moves and brutal hand-to-hand combat. Everything is very "modern Dark Ages", as the developers said during the presentation. The game itself is much more advanced than the original, but with twice as many parkour moves, it opens the door to new combat moves, such as the use of kicks to stagger the steps. enemies and then continue with other attacks.
The buildings of the city are also much taller than those of the first dying light, with a greater emphasis on verticality and movement. Fights against humans will also be more frequent and important than before, reflecting the wider rupture of society 20 years after the events of the first game.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human is scheduled to release on December 7th. Earlier today we also took a look at some of its awesome new visual capabilities, including 4K, RTX and DLSS support. reveals the trailer below.
