In April, Arma 3 went to Vietnam with the S.O.G. Prairie Fire DLC that added a number of new weapons and vehicles from the era, as well as a new map based on a fictional version of the entire Vietnam War area of operations. The new DLC released today, CSLA Iron Curtain, also takes players to the past, but not so far or into a completely different region: the 1980s border between Czechoslovakia and the Federal Republic of Germany.

CSLA Iron Curtain (CSLA, by the way, means "Československá lidová armáda" in Czech and "Československá ľudová armáda" in Slovak, which translates to the Czechoslovak People's Army, the Czechoslovak Armed Forces until 1990) simulate the outbreak of hostilities between the East and the West in the midst of the Cold War. It includes a new map, Gabreta, with "deep forests, wind-blown mountains, quiet valleys, a rail network, and various military advantages," and a trio of new factions representing the U.S., Czechoslovakia, and local rebel fighters.
