The new call of duty: cold war zombies easter egg now begins in outbreak

It’s the mid-season update day in the world of Call of Duty, and that means a staggering number of things to do in both Warzone and Black Ops: Cold War. But behind the striking Nakatomi Plaza and multiplayer maps is a pretty big update to the Cold War Zombie Outbreak mode. Starting today, Outbreak mode has a new "main mission" (or Easter egg) that continues the elaborate narrative of the zombies and sets the stage for a new traditional map. of the zombies that will arrive in season 4.

Sounds pretty neat, but that doesn’t happen at all in Zombies. Here is the complete summary of what was added to last night's update:

  • Outbreak: new main mission, world order event, fishing, new intellectual documents, audio recordings, radio broadcasts and artifacts to discover
  • Round based maps: "Cranked 2: No Time to Crank" to "Firebase Z" and "Die Maschine" limited time mode
  • Dead Ops Arcade 3: New Silverback Slideways bonus map
  • Onslaught (PlayStation only, sadly): Onslaught Standoff map, new Intel, new limited time mode, new challenge with exclusive weapon plan reward

If you're wondering what exactly a "main mission" means in the context of Zombies, the answer is always a little different from one map to another. The search seems to be basically like an Easter egg from a normal zombie map, which always involves some degree of puzzle solving and completion. However, Treyarch calls this "main search" making it sound simpler than usual.

The main mission aside, I’m even more curious about fishing … in a CoD game. How will you literally sit quietly with a fishing rod until you bite (presumably while trying to avoid the real zombies who want a bite of)? you), or just shoot the fish? And if you shoot the fish, does that count as fishing? These are the big questions I plan to answer by actually playing Outbreak once this update is finished downloading.

If you are interested in the news of the war zone today, we have already published a practical guide on burst into the illustrious vault of Nakatomi Square. It’s definitely worth it, considering you have a huge amount of $ 100,000 in cash in the game.
