I have a weak point for necromancers. I also have a weak point for Final Fantasy 14. So you can imagine that right now I am very upset by the news that the next Final Fantasy 14 class that will come to the new Endwalker expansion is the Reaper: a gothic badass with a giant, two -dalla da mano.
Announced a few moments ago at the annual Final Fantasy 14 fan convention, the Reaper will be one of two new classes to join the game when Endwalker launches this fall. The other is the sage, which you can read here.
The Reaper is a melee DPS class that specializes in summoning the powers of the void to help him in battle. It will start at level 70 (so be prepared to jump straight to Endwalker) and has no compulsory classes, but you do you must have a class at level 70 to unlock it. Reapers are a very unique DPS class, as it looks like they can summon an "Avatar of the Void" to join the battle, effectively turning them into another pet-based class similar to Summoner's. Reapers can also serve as their Avatar's host, making them stupidly strong and capable of doing great damage.
Square Enix released a special video showing the Reaper in action, which you can see above. Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker will arrive this fall.
