The Sims team has announced a roadmap for The Sims 4 over the coming months, including a new game package, an expansion package, and basic game updates.
Nicknamed The Summer of the Sims, the roadmap describes some rather vague additions that will come into play in May, June and July. He mentions a new kit package, which comes out later today in the form of a Courtyard Oasis Kit. There is also a “new creative game package” in preparation, with a new career. There is also a future expansion pack in operation and the only suggestion we have is that its content is related to nature.

The Sims 4 will also receive three basic game updates over the coming months. The base game has undergone major renovations over the past year: a skin tone update in December added a wider variety of skin tones and made makeup more useful for darker skin and Afro textured hair options from the base game received numerous solutions. The long-awaited bunks were also recently added to the base game, though they really weren’t fully functional.
There are also two upcoming events: a block virtual party and the "Summer Sims event". The virtual blog party seems to be something similar to last year's Pride event, which featured LGBTQ + Sims streamers, as well as Pride-themed events and challenges. Information about the second event is much more vague, although the phrase “rock out” points to a music-themed event.
While there aren’t many details at this time, there is a continued flow The Sims' Twitch channel today at 11 AM PST / 7 PM BST. Everything should be revealed, including the contents of the mysterious game and the expansion packs.
