Like most fishing minigames, fishing in Stardew Valley is controversial. Not everyone cares about the vanilla experience, the little touch-bounce to try to drag it, finding it disgusting, frustrating or just boring. There are a number of modifications that make fishing easier or omit it completely, but even for those who like the experience of fishing, it cannot be argued that finding the right the fish, when you just want to help Jody make a fish casserole for dinner or fill a package, it can sometimes become an order.
A new one Shekurika's "Visible Fish" mod in Nexus Mods makes it so easy. With it, you can see what fish are in the water before throwing the rod, there are no more attractive shadows that turn out to be cans of glue.
The modification has additional options, such as changing the maximum number of fish on the map and the density of fish for each tile of water. A density of 200% is two fish per tab, which would make one a lot of casserole. It would also allow players to fill these junimo packs much faster, if they so choose, at least the fish, I don’t know if you’ll pass the seasonal vegetables faster. Let’s be honest, though: there’s probably a change as well.
You can download the Visible Fish mod from Nexus Mods, where the Stardew Valley modding community continues to thrive even five years after its initial launch. Lauren has recently compiled the best modifications to Stardew Valley, which includes a modification to the fishing review, yes, but also (just as important) additional textures for cats.
