We have long known that Gamescom would once again be a completely digital event. But, as with 2020, that won’t stop Geoff Keighley from celebrating his Opening Night Live. The 2-hour live show of the upcoming games will take place on Wednesday, August 25 at 11:00 PT / 19:00 BST.
Three weeks from now, check out the biggest video games of this holiday and what’s beyond … @gamescom Opening Night Live A two-hour showcase of live streaming and co-streaming everywhere on Wednesday, May 25th August, at 11:00 PT / 14:00 ET / 20:00 CET pic.twitter.com/h8C12vtvriAugust 4, 2021
This year is still one of the frequent delays due to the ongoing pandemic, but the holiday season seems quiet for versions so far, so it will be interesting to see what’s in store during the second half of the year. 39; any. Take-Two recently confirmed there is a new series in operation, which is said to be Marvel XCOM, but a whole series of games have already been moved to 2022.
Even pre-pandemic, publishers have increasingly taken the step of not expecting big shows to announce games. But the Keighley Summer Games Fest show was good this year, which gives me hope that I can still get something out of my hat by the end of the year.
If not? Well, it's always there next year.
Opening Night Live will be a “streaming and co-streaming everywhere,” that is, platforms like Twitch and YouTube, and we’ll catch all the ads as they happen.
