One month ago, Twitch responded to the growing popularity of jacuzzi streams by creating a new category for swimming pools, jacuzzis and beaches. Since then, another trend has become a hit on Twitch: streaming bands that simulate the sound of the ear with ASMR microphones while wearing yoga pants. This strangely specific trend is found throughout Twitch ASMR channel, and two of the streamers who dominated it, Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa and Jenelle "Indiefoxx" Dagres, have been banned.
Amouranth was at the center of the jacuzzi streaming controversy when Twitch demonetized its streams and was deemed “unsupported by advertisers,” even though they were within Twitch’s content guidelines. Twitch later backtracked when he created the channel dedicated to swimming pools, hot tubs and beaches, saying that "making other people look sexy is not against our rules and Twitch will not take action against women or anyone who is at our service, "for its perceived appeal."
Apparently, something about the currents in which Amouranth and Indiefoxx licked ASMR microphones while wearing tight leggings counteracted these rules, and both were banned for an unspecified time. Amouranth he tweeted that the ban has been good for their OnlyFans, with "587 new subs in OF since the ban just an hour or two ago."
Meanwhile, its absence and the influx of streamers currently joining the ASMR channel has left swimming pools, hot tubs and beaches free to be ruled by the otters of the Marine mammal rescue channel, which are currently the most popular live broadcast in the category.
