Kingdom of the Dead is an upcoming "old school FPS" that will charge you to kill Death – and his armies – in a black and white, pencil and ink version of America from 1867.
The store page is generous with its tradition, so you don’t have to worry not more shooting deadly monsters in an elegant setting. Set in the aftermath of the American Civil War, you play as a general professor in the military and work for a shady government program dedicated to defeating death and its armies.
The artistic style is slightly lost in static screenshots, but it looks amazing in motion, with the trailer making use of a lot of dramatic lighting (and lightning) to illuminate the path and plunge in and out of high contrast.

I can only look at that shadowy, dubious creature sinking toward me on a terrain built of skulls and bones and offer my highest praise: Thank you, I hate it!
Dirigo Games developers are as interested in the FPS game as they are in the horror and style, promising a "classic FPS game with different objectives in each difficulty level", eight different weapons and more than 22 undead enemies and a endless ”in its infinity. game mode, which doesn't sound at all sinister.
Dirigo Games appeared before the third Dread X Collection, a collection of indie short horror games that Andy Kelly highlighted as part of the reasons why independent games make horror better than anyone: "These quirky zine-like game summaries are full of imagination and have been turned into a welcome space for Indians to experiment with what can be a horror game. "
You can wish list Kingdom of the Dead on Steam, where it is scheduled to be published in early 2022.
